Andy's Orchids
Andy's Orchids specializes in species orchids. The site lists hundreds of species, but all told, Andy has probably 500,000 plants in his greenhouses. If you're looking for something that isn't listed on his site, try calling him! Unfortunately for international growers, Andy only ships to the US & its territories.
Bulbophyllum from A to Z
This is a great bulbophyllum image resource. It's more of a scientific approach than Bulbophyllum.com, as it contains images with size reference and dissected flowers. Hundreds of species images broken down into section. The link is in English, but there are other language choices available.

Bulbophyllum.com is a reference point for bulbophyllum lovers. It contains hundreds of images, and its library is always growing. Check it out for information on your favorite bulbophyllums!
Calwest Tropical
Calwest offers a variety of supplies for the hobbyist and the professional. It has high-quality sphagnum moss, cork bark, pots, hangers, books, chemicals... The only thing orchid that it doesn't sell are the plants.
Dracula species
A site dedicated to the genus dracula. There are some great images and habitat information for this unique genus.
First Ray's
First Ray's is an extremely informative site for both the hobbyist and the professional. Ray offers growing media, tips, books, semi-hydro growing advice, and other items useful for successful orchid cultivation.
Florida's Native and Naturalized Orchids
This site is maintained by Prem Subrahmanyam. The title is pretty self-explanatory. It is a site dedicated to documenting and cataloguing all of Florida's wild orchids.
IOSPE
This is Jay Pfahl's Internet Orchid Species Photo Encyclopedia. It's a wonderful resource for finding species images and some data regarding synonyms and species habitat.
J&L Orchids
J&L offers a wide variety of plants. The pleurothallid selection is impressive. It has been around for 30 years and carved a niche market for itself.
Kew
Another resource to determine valid species names. Other search options include a geographic function to find indigenous species to an area.
Marni Turkel
Marni is a frequent contributor to OI, and she sells both plants and established divisions of her awarded clones on her site. Check it out!
Maryland Cork Company
The source for inexpensive bulk cork in the US! You have to contact them for a pricelist and shipping estimate, but it's well worth it.
MOBOT
This site can be used to determine valid species names and correct spellings for all genera of orchids. It also contains many images of specimens.
Mountain Orchids
This is Darrin Norton's operation. It's out of Vermont, and he has some fantastic species pleurothallids, mainly masdevallias and draculas.
Oak Hill Gardens
Oak Hill offers a wide variety of orchids. Most are well established seedlings, and some are NBS. The prices are always good, and sometimes it has unique species. Be careful, though. Once it sells out of a species, you might not find it again. It only ships to the US and its territories, excluding Hawaii.
Orchid Culture sheets
This is Charlie & Marg Baker's site. Their culture sheets are known around the world. Local climate data and helpful culture advice make the sheets invaluable.
OrchidsPNG
A great way to kill an hour! Thousands of pictures of PNG orchid species both in-situ and ex-situ. Wolfgang Bandisch has done an incredible job of compiling images of species that will likely never be seen in cultivation.
Orchidstudium
A wonderful collection of species images from around the world. Dalton Holland Baptista and Americo Docha Neto manage the encyclopedia.
Pleurothallids.com
Lynn O'Shaughnessy is a certified pleurothallid addict! The website is broken down into two areas: Lynn's images and sales page, and the Pleurothallid Alliance page.
Troy Meyers
Troy offers flasks of species orchids. His business also offers a flasking service for species. At times, he sells established seedlings of his stock.
